My husbend has epilepsy and takes 2000mg of depalept daily, he did not havea seisure for 8 years, a year ago he had the first seisure after 8 years and we thought it was because he took another drug for Chrone desease , unfortunately few days ago he had another seisure while holding our baby, I am deeply worried, he drank alchohol a night before, so maybe this was the reason. anyway, before these 2 events my husbend lived a normal life, could it be that Depalept is not working anylonger? he made a test a month ago to see the level of depalept in the blood and it was o.k In addition, how can we be carefull with the baby?

Dear Merav
sometimes it can happen that you need to change a medicine. Talk to your doctor and see what he says.
In addition, it's very likely the second seizure was because of the alcohol.

About being careful with the baby you can try to hold him in bed or while sitting.
Try to continue living a normal life.
If he was stabel before there is no reason it wown't happen again.
