Hello DR> Cohen.

I"m writing in english its easier for me and do that for my best friens that have parkinson. She is 61 and had it few years and is under a pill thats called SINEMED OR IN OTHER NAME APO---LEVOCARB CR.
It seems like this pills stoped to help her as it does before , and my question is: are there other pills that can help her better?maybe she should change the pill to some other that have better affact on her?is there a new generation of a pill that she can uce? of course with a doc prescribtion. Pls answer me in english , thats her language. With many thanks i wait for you answer to send to my e,mail if its possible. Lisi

It is hard for me to understand from your letter which medication your friend is getting but if she is receiving a levodopa containing medication it is possible that the effect of the medicine wanes throughout the years. Since treatment in this stage of the disease should be individualized and tailored to the patient she probably needs to consult a movement disorder specialist concerning adjusting medical treatment or considering another treatment options like Apomorphin pump or Deep Brain Stimulation operation
